McCooey's Hexagonal Chess
Keys "s"=save "l"=load "b"=back once
Orthogonal moves are along any of the three directions. Diagonal moves are to the nearest square of the same color. Pawns move as in FIDE chess, with captures on the diagonal. Center pawn has no initial double move. For now, pawns promote only to queens. There is no castling in this variant.
Dave McCooey arrived at this without knowledge of Glinski's Hexagonal Chess in 1978-9.
Special thanks to William Spengler of Phoenix for finding a bug which affected the hexagonal chess games and Chinese Chess.
