This is a wonderful way of paying homage to the great endgame problemist Alexey Alexeyevich Troitsky. I applaud what you've done here, Abdul-Rahman.

Changes to board shape can have interesting consequences. On the 68 square board of Gustav III's Chess here two Knights cannot force a nontrivial mate, but apparently two Cannons can.
