I don't know what, if anything we should do about tourney games lost on time, but I do know that we need a programmer to take a look at Game Courier and fix the problems, and that's a problem, as Fergus is apparently no longer active. However, this site needs a way to repair [or replace] Game Courier even in the absence of its creator.
So we have 2 problems. The short-term one, time losses in the tourney, is minor, and might be looked at as what is more unfair, letting people who ran out of time lose on time, or taking away peoples' wins, and making them re-play the games... [ ;-) ] But the second problem, site programming maintenance, is serious and needs to be solved if we want to have a site. If Game Courier or any other part of the system breaks, how do we fix it?
Edit: I've noticed the problem with notifications for about a month.
