A very worthy Separate Realms variant--a fine game for someone who wants a
more FIDE-like game with the peculiar SR flavor. I like the SR Gnu: it's a
strong piece, probably worth more than the SR Rook or FIDE Knight but less
than the FIDE Rook.

Very little power would need to be added to make this army competitive in
Chess With Different Armies. I've playtested the original SR army against
the FIDE army, and while it can't win, it can put up a protracted fight.
The fast development makes up for some of the material deficit. The SR II
army might even be competitive as is.
