decided to accept the games for the contest. They'll be added to the list
above in the near future.

Help! The link on this page to my variant Shatranj Kamil (64) does not work - it needs to end in '64.html'. The link from the TenCubed Chess page (and other entries, I assume) works fine.

I don't mean to speak for Hans, but I believe that the delay in the contest is due to the fact that the editors need help with the creation of the polling system for the game evaluations. Can someone help with this?

I will get on this soon. In the meantime, anyone who has entered the contest but does not yet have a userid and password should register with this website. You will need your userid and password to vote in the polls, which will be required for remaining eligible to win. And I will need a complete list of userids to properly set up banning of inventors from voting in the polls with their own games.

We'll move the voting dates accordingly. By the way, people are encouraged to vote, but in this contest, voting is not required to be elegible for winning. (See rules.)

I have recently corrected the errors on my entries in this, correcting the relationship between Eurasian and Grander Chess in one and making the 3d array diagram clearer in the other. When's the 45-square contest opening? I've already thought of a couple of entries for it.

Apologies for the very long delay. I was too busy with other things, and the contest was too long delayed. Clearly, the voting time for the second round has to be extended (otherwise it would be over before starting). To speed things up: each voter (finalists cannot vote) can send an email to me listing the games from good to less good.

I would like to provide a new variant 'Taboo Chess' (if that name is not
already used), which is (hardly to believe) as well a 10x8 and also a 64
squares chess variant. But I am still searching for a matching and still
running contest, where it could be entered.

I rewrote significant parts of this page and reorganized it heavily. It was previously organized as if the contest was still ongoing with various results and updates interspersed. It is now presented as a finished event with the winners highlighted. The original page is still available here for historical interest in case anyone wants to see the contest in its original presentation.

I plan to make small edits to the pages of some of the game submissions to mention the contest if they currently don't and possibly make other small improvements on some of the more generic pages. I won't mess with the pages of users that I know are currently active and maintaining their own content.

EDIT: Created a 10-contest logo, seen at the top of the page. I'll add this to relevant pages.
