I would like to alert the readers of this site that I am organizing new
email tournaments on Richard's PBM server for chess, doublechess and
omegachess. Here are details on each tournament:

The chess tournament is open to 18 players and will be divided into two
9-man sections. In each section each player will play a total of 8 games,
4 with the white pieces and 4 with the black pieces. One game against
each of the other players in your section. The 2 section winners and 3
wild-card players will advance to a 5-man finals section.

I have 4 openings left for this tournament.

The Doublechess and Omegachess tournaments will both be round-robin
events, 1 game against each player in your section, with approximately
an equal number of games with white and black. Since I have not yet set
a maximum cut off to the number of players who are allowed to be in
the tournament I still have several openings left in each, it looks like
each player will play somewhere between 5 to 7 games depending upon the
number of entries received. 

The time control in the chess tournament is 180 days to complete all 
moves. The time control in the doublechess and omegachess tournaments
is that you must complete 1 move at least every 7 days. There is no 
total time cap.

In order to play in these events you must have a userid on Richard's

the important thing to remember is that moves are sent by
a precise syntax in the subject line of email to [email protected]
while the body of the email is used for sending comments to your
opponent

To sign up for one of these events (it is permissible to sign up for

Entry is free and there are no prizes except for in the Omegachess
tournament, where the first prize of an Omegachess set to the winner
may be arranged, I am still working on that. All games will effect
your Richard's PBM server ratings of those games.
