Mac Cooey's chess is a hexagonal chess variant developped by Dave McCooey and Richard Honeycutt in 1978-1979.

Rules
Mac Cooey's chess is a hexagonal chess variant played on a 91 hexagonal cells board.
Each player commands 16 pieces
- 1 king
- 1 queen
- 2 rooks
- 3 bishops
- 2 knights
- 7 pawns
Initial setup
There is no castling. Stalemate is counted as a draw.Pieces moves

Double step from starting position is allowed except for f file pawns. The pawn capture corresponds to a one step Bishop's move. See crosses for captures. "En passant" captures are possible.Credits
