I've been getting this message - looks like it has something to do with
the flying kittens game - can't get into check or make moves:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in
/home/chessva/public_html/play/pbmlogs/fabulous_flying_kittens/judgmentality-cvgameroom-2006-121-111.php
on line 214

ditto .

Yes, I am getting the same thing. And even if I use a filter to try to
exclude the offending game from the list, the results are the same. I do
not understand the error message well enough to be sure, but my best guess
is that there is an illegal character in one of the parameters that is
displayed in the game listing that normally appears. Fergus is probably
the only one who can troubleshoot it, but if he doesn't respond soon,
Jeremy, I'm pretty confident that you can fix the problem by simply
deleting the game in question.

If you follow the link provided by the email notification, you can get to
your games and make moves. Unfortunately, I tend to delete my emails and
use the 'your games' button at the top of the presets.
A bit more info. The game in question is between Jeremy and me. I'd
resigned the game - actually, Jeremy had mated me, but didn't claim it,
undoubtedly because the kittens game is very complex and he probably
wanted me to see and agree before he was declared winner. Anyway, right
after I sent in the resignation, I hit the 'ratings' button, and that's
when that error message popped up. I sent Jeremy an email when it happened,
but he's apparently not online.

Can't get in there to delete that game and really don't know what to do
about it. Yikes. Someone please email Fergus in case he isn't checking
the boards. I'm sure he'll get to the bottom of it soon.

I deleted the log for that game.

Antoine, let me be the one to thank you for fixing this by deleting the
game file, as I'm the one who's getting to drop a loss. Thank you! Now,
if you could do the same for some of my other losses... there's one in
particular, a very embarrassing loss at Chinese Chess in the last
tournament... :-)
