The index for pages on Chess is littered with links to pages on Chess variants. If I had a broadband connection, I would take care of this myself. But since I don't, it would take too long for me. Would an editor with a broad band connection go through the Chess index, editing the index entries of any listed Chess variants to uncheck the Chess checkbox. On a site like this, the Chess category is meaningful only when it is reserved for pages directly related to FIDE Chess.

Fergus, I cleaned it up. Editors: please do not categorize a variant of
chess as 'chess'. The 'chess' category is reserved for FIDE chess
information only. There are other categories for slight variations on FIDE
chess (ie. the chess variants using standard FIDE chess equipment
categories).

Thanks, David. It looks much better now. I took care of the one Chess
variant still remaining.
